Wadada Leo Smith, trumpeter, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and improviser is one of the most acclaimed creative artists of his times, both for his music and his writings.
Vijay Iyer is Professor of the Arts Graduate Advisor in Creative Practice, and African American Studies at Harvard. An active pianist, recording artist, bandleader, composer, improviser, and scholar.
Anthony Davis has been on the cutting edge of improvised music and Jazz for over three decades. He continues to explore new avenues of expression while retaining a distinctly original voice. His opera The Central Park Five, with a libretto by Richard Wesley, won the 2020 Pulitzer Prize in Music.

Camae Ayewa, better known by her stage name Moor Mother, is an American poet, musician, and activist from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is one half of the collective Black Quantum Futurism.
Billy Woods is an American rapper based in New York. He is also the founder of the record label Backwoodz Studioz and member of rap group, Armand Hammer.
